All the Directors of Pathik have learnt the art of coaching from the Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholders Centred Coaching developed by Marshall Goldsmith, World’s most influential leadership thinker (2015 and 2011) and author of ‘What Got You Here Won’t Get You There’ and ‘Triggers’. They have also undergone training from Results Coaching Systems, Australia developed by David Rock author of ‘Quiet Leadership’ and ‘Your Brain at Work’

Based on these learnings, Pathik has developed its own Executive Coaching Program for Professionals and Business Owners.

Leadership is inspiring and influencing people positively to achieve the objectives of the organisation

The program focusses on helping the leader to gain clarity in thinking and to develop the Vision of the organisation with inputs from its core team members. This is done with the help of ‘Macro thinking’ – thinking holistically with a long term focus. Macro thinking involves considering and working on all the variables that are involved in creating the future as dreamt by the leader rather than focussing on a single variable success definition like turnover or profits.

This is followed by developing the Key Strategic Initiatives that are need to be executed to make the Vision come true.

Behavioural Change

As we get successful, behaviours become more important than professional expertise

The second part of the program is the Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centred Coaching. This part of the coaching is to enable successful leaders to lead or behave more effectively through positive behavioural change that is sustained, recognised and acknowledged by others.

The leader chooses one or two key behaviours which are most necessary to go to the next level. To help the leader choose these behaviours there is an objective analysis done by a GLOF (Global Leader of the Future) assessment which is a 360-degree leadership assessment rooted in groundbreaking research conducted by Marshall Goldsmith, involving CEOs of Fortune 100 companies, global thought leaders, and international business executives of organisations on 6 continents.

There is also a subjective assessment where the Coach conducts interviews of the team members working with the leader by spending 45 minutes with each of the respondents.

Based on the reports of both these assessments, the leader chooses the two key behaviours he wants to work on.

Coaching helps the leader to build structure and accountability necessary to execute what they already know

The best part of Coaching is it makes the leader accountable. Since the level is a senior executive or a business owner he is seldom answerable to anybody. In this program, the stakeholders (the team members working with the leader) provide suggestions to the leader every month.

The Leader and the Coach meet every month to make a Monthly Action Plan which is based on the suggestions given by the stakeholders and the action tasks in Key Strategic Initiatives. The Monthly Action Plan focuses on the Vision as well as the Behavioural Change.

The program helps the leader to increase his effectiveness and productivity by moving from where he is to where he wants to be much faster that he would have done on his own.
